May 23 - 29| Pause. Breathe. Watch Your Triggers.

Time is a funny thing. The New Moon happened on Saturday, and between then and now, it feels like so much more time has passed than actually has. Does it feel that way for you too?
This week is a good week overall to remember to pause. Be aware of what triggers you and have a plan in place for how to respond. Use discernment when necessary, and by all means, verify things. Trusting your gut matters most of all.
An affirmation that spoke to me this week along those same lines: "The future is unfolding exactly how it needs to. I have surrendered to divine timing, so the Universe can align me without resistance."
Shall we see how this week will unfold? 🌙

✨ May 25–26, 2026 | Libra Moon
✨ May 25–26, 2026 | Libra Moon
By the time the work week gets going, the Moon will shift into Libra. With a Gemini Sun and Libra Moon — both Air signs — it is a mental, talkative start to the week. Translation: this can make the start of our week feel like we want to have one-on-one conversations. My suggestion is to be aware of if or when it turns to gossip instead. The desire to bring balance and harmony to things may feel very strong, and honestly, that may even help with the Mars-Pluto square I am about to share. Just be careful not to sacrifice yourself in the process.
I mentioned in the heading to be aware of your triggers. Today is the reason why. On Monday evening — 11:01 pm CT to be exact — Mars (drive, determination, and anger) squares Pluto (transformation). This can feel like power struggles, and triggers are heightened. With the peak of it happening so late in the evening, we may be feeling it build all day long.
This is not to scare you. This is meant to help you be proactive.
If you are aware of things that may trigger you and potential power struggles, and you have a plan in place for how to deal with them, they are less likely to blow up in your face. If you are a parent, allowing choices that give you the end result you are looking for while allowing your child to choose the method is one way to work with this energy. I often use the nap example — do you want to take a nap on the couch or in your bedroom? The nap happens. Does the place really matter to you? That is the question. By empowering your child to make the decision, they feel like they have an age-appropriate voice, and it could be a win for all. Roads may be a little nutty, so pretend you are that student driver — the one who sees everyone and assumes no one sees them. Be aware of sharp objects as well! With Mars involved, if things feel stressful, moving your body may help too.
On Tuesday, the same degree where Mars and Pluto squared becomes the point of a supportive trine from the Sun to Pluto. While Mars gave us friction with Pluto on Monday, on Tuesday the Sun offers harmonious flow. It can act as a stabilizing force — bringing more patience and focus versus reaction. Think proactive energy versus reactive energy.
✨ May 27-28, 2026 | Scorpio Moon
✨ May 27–28, 2026 | Scorpio Moon
Wednesday can feel like a two-act day. We start with the same desire for balance and harmony with light conversations under a Libra Moon.
Then from 6:32 am CT to 7:52 pm CT we have a 13 hour, 20 minute Void of Course Moon. We have not been strangers to these this month, so these are not necessarily new energies.
Here are a few reminders:
✅ Great for: – Meditating – Finishing up existing projects – Taking walks – Resting or napping – Creating a to-do list
🚫 Maybe skip: – Starting something brand new – Making major decisions – Being hard on yourself 🤪
From 7:52 pm CT Wednesday until 7:44 am CT Saturday, the Moon will be in Scorpio. Yep, until Saturday morning. Under a Scorpio Moon in Gemini Season, conversations can turn from light and airy — like they could have been under that Libra Moon — to deep and penetrating. With the square Venus has to Saturn, it could have you looking at your finances or relationships and seeing where they are being restricted. With the Gemini/Scorpio energy the Sun and Moon are making, it could result in conversations about how to make those situations better. This will be building all day Wednesday and will peak at 10:02 pm CT Thursday.
If things get hard, remember to get your rest as needed, drink your water, and remember it's okay to shed a tear too. Scorpio is a water sign after all — albeit more like a frozen lake versus a free-flowing river. It may take a bit for it to break through. Under a Scorpio Moon we do like to be in control — more triggers and potential power struggles to be aware of, though this happens monthly when the Moon visits this sign.
✨May 29, 2026
Friday brings more of the same Scorpio energy, with a 12 hour, 40 minute Void of Course window starting at 7:04 pm CT. So for most of the day we will feel the same vibe as the last two.
The Moon will shift into Sagittarius Saturday morning, setting us up for the Full Moon early Sunday morning.
More about that next week though! For those who subscribe to my Substack or are part of the Between the Moons membership, the Full Moon guide will be loaded on Saturday, May 30th in those spaces. It is only $13 to join the Substack to receive both the New and Full Moon guides along with the full Cosmic Weather in one space. Likewise, it is $25 to join the tier that also includes the New Moon Circle Zoom — a $10 savings!
✨ In Closing:
This week invites you to pause, stay aware, and trust yourself.
The Virgo First Quarter Moon kicks off the weekend with a busy, list-making energy — your mind wants to organize and plan, and that is perfectly supported.
As the week moves forward, the Air sign energy of a Gemini Sun and Libra Moon opens the door for meaningful one-on-one conversations, but stay mindful of when lightness tips into gossip.
The big moment of the week is Monday evening when Mars squares Pluto — power struggles and triggers are at their peak. Having a plan for how you will respond rather than react is your superpower this week.
Tuesday brings relief as the Sun trines Pluto, shifting the energy toward patience and focus.
Mid-week the Moon moves into Scorpio, deepening the tone and bringing conversations around finances and relationships to the surface — not to overwhelm, but to help you figure out what needs to shift. Rest, hydrate, and give yourself grace if emotions run a little heavier than usual.
Friday carries that same Scorpio depth before the Moon shifts into Sagittarius Saturday, building toward the Full Moon Sunday. More on that next week! 🌙
With Love and Stardust,
Sarah
