June 28- July 4, 2025 - Keeping it simple

I work hard every week to explain things in an easy to understand way. I hope you feel that too!

Good morning!

As I shared in my email, In every line of work I’ve ever been in, one cardinal rule has always guided me: Keep it simple.

If something is too hard to understand, it can easily go over someone’s head. That was true in my 7th grade remedial reading classroom—and it’s just as true every time I sit down with a client.

Astrology can sometimes feel complicated... but it doesn’t have to be.

This week, I wrote a short article about that idea (you’ll find it linked it here). My hope is that it doesn’t overwhelm you with information—but instead offers just enough to help you move through the week and better understand the people around you.

That’s really my hope with everything I do.

With that, let’s take a look at the Cosmic Weather for the week ahead!

Virgo moon and Cancer Sun is a healing combo...how will you work with it?

As we wake on Sunday, a shift has happened. The Moon has moved into Virgo, and checking things off your list might feel amazing!

This is also a very healing combination: Cancer Sun + Virgo Moon. We have access to the emotional depth of the Cancer Sun along with the detailed, “everything in its place” energy of the Virgo Moon. As we move into the workweek, this blend may naturally have you thinking about how to help others.

If that’s the case, be mindful of how you offer that help. Virgo energy can come across as very matter-of-fact—even when it comes from a caring place—which can sometimes feel cold to others. One way to soften this is to ask, “Would you like help?” before jumping in to solve something.

Doing this allows the other person to keep their personal power, while giving you the chance to offer support if they’re open to it. If you’re a parent to “bigs” (young adults) like I am, this might sound familiar. Our 23- and 20-year-olds are stepping into their independence, but they know we’re here when they need a sounding board.

Special Note about Monday – Today marks the beginning of Mercury’s preshadow phase, which means retrograde is on the horizon. There's nothing to fear about Mercury retrograde—it’s simply a time of review. Starting today, pay attention to any Leo themes showing up around communication and how you think. These could be the very things you'll be revisiting and refining during the upcoming retrograde cycle.

First Quarter Moon peeks on Wednesday and then promptly moves into a Void of Course period...how will you work with it?

Tuesday could bring a “two-vibe” kind of day. We start with the Moon in Virgo, and after a short 30-minute Void of Course, it shifts into Libra at 4:16 PM CT. That Libra Moon sets the stage for Wednesday’s First Quarter Moon.

At this First Quarter Moon, you might notice some friction between the emotional styles of the Cancer Sun and the Libra Moon. Cancer processes emotions deeply and intuitively, often wanting to care for everything. Libra also processes emotion, but tends to favor harmony and balance—sometimes holding space for feelings rather than diving into them.

Both archetypes value self-care, which is a great way to work with this energy if things feel out of sync. It’s something we often forget to do when we’re busy taking care of everyone else. Libra is an air sign too, so spending time with a trusted friend and talking things through may also feel supportive.

Be sure to read advice for Thursday as it is needed as early as 2:30 pm CT Wednesday!

July 3, 2025

To do lists will be your friend today!

Right after the First Quarter Moon peaks at 2:30 PM CT, we enter a 38-hour Void of Course period that may leave you feeling a little fuzzy-headed on Thursday. You might notice a similar feeling to what you experienced earlier in the week leading up to the New Moon.

We’ll be seeing more of these longer Void of Course periods as July unfolds. A quick reminder on how to work with this energy:

✅ Do:

– Meditate

– Finish up things you’ve already started

– Go for walks

– Take naps as needed

– Make a to-do list to keep you on track

🚫 Maybe Not:

– Make big life decisions

– Start something brand new

– Be hard on yourself 🤪

Deciding how you want to people on a National holiday may be good to plan out.

As we round out the week, the Moon moves into Scorpio at 4:32 AM CT on Friday. If you’re reading this ahead of time, ask your body to help you remember your dreams—they might carry insight. Scorpio is a water sign, and with the Sun in Cancer, we’ll have a double-water sky again. Both are intuitive and can bring vivid dreamscapes.

The difference? Scorpio energy often wants to people only with those they truly trust. So if you're feeling quieter and more inward heading into the weekend—that’s valid.

At 10:30 AM CT, Venus moves into Gemini, where she’ll stay until July 30. According to

The Secrets of Astrology by DK book: Venus in Gemini places a high value on communication. This placement can come across as flirty or direct—it’s really up to you. Either way, good conversations are key!

✨ I’ll be sharing more inside the Between the Moons membership about what this Venus shift could mean for you, based on where Gemini falls in your chart.

Until next week when the Full Moon shines its light on us all! 🌕
