August 2-8, 2025| Mars and Long Voids oh my!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow is one of my favorite songs!

Good morning,

As I shared in my email to my subscribers:

As I was sitting down to write this, I kept having images from The Wizard of Oz pop into my head—especially that final scene when Dorothy wakes up.

Why?

Because when she does, she talks about how her dream included all the people who mattered most to her.

With the long Void of Course Moon windows we have this week—one of them lasting nearly 32 hours—you might find yourself feeling like you're drifting in and out of dream world, too. If you do, leaning into your tools (like to-do lists) and gently reminding your body that it’s time to rest can really help ground you.

✨ To support that, I’m hosting a Stars and Cards night on Wednesday, August 6 at 7 pm CT (8 pm ET / 5 pm PT). If you’re craving clarity, I’d love for you to join me. Details are at the bottom of this email.

On a personal note, this week is special for my family for two reasons:

First, Rich and I will be celebrating 26 years of marriage on the 7th! Last year we traveled to London and Scotland to celebrate. This year, I’ll be flying to Albuquerque instead.

Why?

Well, that’s the second reason—I’ll be making a 19-hour road trip with our son, Connor, to bring him home from his summer internship. I’m not sure I’ve ever had 19 hours of one-on-one time like this with either of our kids... and it's happening over the Full Moon, no less! Wish me luck—I can’t wait for the adventure and to see him again.

In any case, let’s take a look at the week ahead!

✨ August 3 and 4, 2025

Sagittarius Moon has us asking how we can say YES to something!

Picking up where we left off in the email…

We’ll wake up Sunday under a Sagittarius Moon in Leo Season. That’s a Double Fire Sky—meaning energy could be high for you, and definitely for your kids if you're a parent. Both signs love to lead and to be right.

All. The. Time.

The good news? They also both love to keep things light and roll with surprises—especially on Sunday. You may wake up flooded with ideas from your dreams, so keeping your phone or dream journal nearby could be helpful!

In general, this energy makes people want to socialize and try new foods. A Sunday night bonfire might feel just right. And if things feel tense or restless, moving your body—especially outdoors—can help regulate your system. Under a Sagittarius Moon (or for those with one natally), being outside can feel a bit like going to church.

August 5 and 6, 2025

Long Voids and Mars moving into Libra....

Tuesday may feel like a two-act kind of day. The morning continues with the Sagittarius Moon energy we’ve had since Sunday.

Then, at 12:04 pm CT, the Moon shifts into Capricorn, bringing a more grounded, no-nonsense vibe. It may not feel overly emotional, but it could feel productive—especially on Tuesday.

Exactly 24 hours later, at 12:39 pm CT, we enter a 31-hour, 39-minute Void of Course window that lasts all of Wednesday. While your mind may feel a little fuzzy that day, your ambition might actually be ramping up.

Why?

Because Mars enters Libra that evening. Mars represents our passions, ambitions, anger, and drive—and it will stay in Libra through September 22 (which, fun fact, is the start of Libra Season!). I can’t help but wonder if this offers a preview of what you’ll want to accomplish then.

Mars in Libra can show up as using charm, friendliness, or flattery to win arguments or resolve disagreements. You might also find yourself fired up about fighting for fairness—Libra does love balance, after all.

And here’s a little mythological sidebar: in mythology, Mars and Venus (who rules Libra) were lovers. In Greek myth, they were Ares and Aphrodite. Makes me wonder… will relationships get a little spicier during this Mars in Libra season? Time will tell.

Since we’ve got a significant Void of Course window on Wednesday, here are a few reminders:

Great for:

– Meditating

– Finishing up existing projects

– Taking walks–

Resting or napping

– Creating a to-do list

🚫 Maybe skip:

– Starting something brand new

– Making major decisions

– Being hard on yourself 🤪

🌀 Fun fact: In my Between the Moons membership, I noted that 14 out of 31 days this August have these long Void of Course windows! If you want the full scoop, you're always welcome to join us there.

August 7 and 8, 2025

Setting up for the Full Moon

The Void of Course Moon continues through the entirety of Thursday’s workday—until 8:18 pm CT, when the Moon moves into Aquarius.

That shift starts building energy toward the Full Moon at 2:55 am CT Saturday morning.

This Full Moon is a “chatty” one—why? Because four planets will be in Air signs and four in Fire signs. And when Fire mixes with Air? Yep… things ignite!

Once the Moon moves into Aquarius Thursday evening, the build-up to the Full Moon can feel like a lot. Both Thursday and Friday carry a strong “expect the unexpected” vibe. You might get sudden flashes of insight about where you want to go next, especially when thinking about your future.

An Aquarius Full Moon often shines a light on where you’re being called to show up with more authenticity. If you were born with a natal Aquarius Moon, you might’ve felt like the “black sheep” or outsider growing up—until you found your people. Friends can truly feel like family with a strong Aquarius or 11th House presence in your chart.

I’ll go deeper into this Full Moon in next week’s email, since the big event lands early Saturday morning—you’ll still have plenty of time that day to release whatever’s been building.

This is the last Full Moon before Eclipse Season… so make it count!

🌕 P.S. I’ll be sharing more Full Moon reflections in the Between the Moons membership!

Until next week!
