Good morning,
Last week was a lot for me personally—I’m not sure if it was the same for you at the Full Moon! As I mentioned in my last email, I took a road trip with Connor to bring him back from his internship.
Along the way, we stopped at The Smoking Barrel in Ellsworth, Kansas. The BBQ was amazing, and the people were equally wonderful. I got distracted when we left and didn’t realize until two hours later that I’d left my purse behind.
Thankfully, they found it and mailed it home via Priority Mail at no charge. I got it Wednesday, but without my ID we had to drive straight through—22 hours in total—ending with the last 30 minutes in a severe Minnesota storm.
The very next day we brought Connor back to St. John’s for his final year. It was a whirlwind, but I’m thankful for the journey and grateful to those kind people. If you’re ever in Ellsworth, Kansas, their restaurant is worth it!
We’re now in the last week of Leo season—Leo Suns, you have until 8/22 to use Leo2025 for 15% off any service and 50% off the Between the Moons the first month of membership.
It’s also the final week of this moon cycle. As we approach the first of two Virgo New Moons—on Saturday, August 23, at 1:06 am CT—energy levels may dip, so pace yourself.
We’ll gather for our New Moon Circle Friday, August 22, at 5 pm ET / 2 pm PT. Please reserve your seat 24 hours in advance—I’d love to see you there!
It is $33 to join us on the Zoom and you get the recording and guide as part of the experience, and we will be talking about Eclipse Season with this one too!

✨ August 18 and 19, 2025
Monday morning could feel very different from the afternoon.
We start Monday with the same curious vibe of the weekend, but it also comes with a Void of Course Moon from 6:52 am CT–2:05 pm CT, when the shift into Cancer Moon happens.
For the rest of Monday, Tuesday, and until 6:16 pm Wednesday, we’ll be in the sensitive, mothering (hopefully not smothering!) vibes of this water sign moon. This Cancer Moon under a Leo Sun can feel friendly and childlike, and also very intuitive. If things get hard, make sure you’re drinking water—you could even take a bath or go for a swim.
Tuesday, the Sun makes a beautiful angle to Chiron, so you may notice some inner child healing, especially if it brings you joy.
If your Wednesday is busy, making a “to-do list” may help as we’ll have a Void of Course Moon from 7:27 am CT–6:16 pm CT.
✨ August 20 and 21, 2025
The Moon shifts into Leo after an all-day Void of Course period at 6:16 pm CT.
This is the time of the month to reflect on what you’ve learned about yourself since the Leo New Moon. It can be normal to have bursts of energy followed by wanting to be left alone.
It’s still a creative time—just one where you may want to watch your energy.
At 1:13 pm CT on Thursday, August 21, we start a 35-hour, 11-minute Void of Course periodthat goes until Saturday morning’s New Moon. It can feel normal to feel floaty during this time. If you have a lot to wrap up before Leo Season closes, a “to-do list” could be helpful to stay on track.
✨ August 22, 2025
Under this Void of Course Moon, we start Virgo Season at 3:33 pm CT. I think it’s kind of ironic that the sign that loves precision and details is starting under a sky that’s resting. With part of Virgo’s archetype being about health, it makes me wonder if this is an invitation to rest over the next two moon cycles.
On Wednesday, August 20, we’ll be talking about Virgo Season as a whole and the myth(s) associated with it in the Between the Moons Full Moon Q & A. Virgo Season will feature two Virgo New Moons, one of which is a Solar Eclipse that will complete this year’s second eclipse season.
In general, Virgo is the second of our Earth signs! Earth signs ground us and, for some, make them either very dependable or “stuck in the mud,” so to speak. 🪴
🌞 Virgo Sun: Practical, organized, and dependable—just watch that perfectionism doesn’t get in the way of progress!
🌙 Virgo Moon: Common sense and logic are your main emotional languages. You help others see their best selves, though you may have trouble seeing your own.
🌅 Virgo Rising: You’re happiest getting things done—most of the time your way! This control makes you feel secure, and your intentions are to help the world be better.
Do you see yourself in anything I shared? I’d love to know in the comments below.
✨ In Between the Moons, I’ll be sharing the specific area of life the Sun may be traveling through for you this Virgo Season. You can learn more about that [HERE].
Do you see yourself in anything I shared above? I’d love to know!
