September 5–11 | The Quiet Before the Virgo New Moon

New Moon coming

Good morning, dear reader! 🌙

As you are reading this I am at the United Astrology Conference — UAC — in Chicago. Over 1500 astrologers from around the world are gathering this week to share what they know with the community. This is the first time I have ever attended a conference, let alone UAC which is only held every 2–3 years. I am so excited to be there! ✨

Here are a few ways I got ready for it — because a little Virgo Season preparation goes a long way:

Bells for traveling with

I commissioned 🐝The Blessed Bee LLC🐝 to create a set of traveling bells for me so I can clear the energy in my hotel room.

☕️ I brought my cold brew maker and favorite coffee so I would not have to wait in line for my first cup of the day. Pro tip — put packing tape over the top of whatever is holding your coffee in place so it does not end up all over your luggage!

🍫 I figured out which snack bars to bring for a breakfast treat and how far the closest grocery store is from the hotel so I can grab lunch and snacks without breaking the bank.

What are some ways you prepare for trips like this to save both your energy and your money? Drop them in the comments — I would love to know! 🌙

This week is one of endings and new beginnings. We close out this current Eclipse cycle with the Virgo New Moon on Thursday — and to mark it I will be hosting our New Moon Circle that evening. For those on the paid Substack the guide will arrive after the Circle. 🌑

If you are interested in joining the Circle or booking a consult with me everything can be found in my Link to All Things.

As I shared in the September overview, there are no major transits leading up to the Virgo New Moon this week. This is the quiet I was speaking of in the title — and honestly, after everything Eclipse Season brought us, it feels like exactly what we needed. 🌙

This week has so many different opportunities for us all as we move closer to the New Moon. Shall we dive in together? 🌙

✨September 7-8 , 2026 | Leo Moon

Monday and Tuesday

Monday may feel like a fuzzy start to the morning. We wake up during a very short Void of Course window between 8:39 am CT and 11:49 am CT. During this time it is best to go with the flow and figure out what needs to be done next rather than starting something new. With this being a holiday for many, the chances of new things needing to be started is not very high anyway. 🌙

Once 11:49 am CT arrives the Moon moves into Leo and stays through 2:35 pm CT Wednesday. This combination blends the hyper detail-oriented nature of the Virgo Sun with the expressive creative nature of the Leo Moon. The trick is balancing the sometimes critical Virgo need to perfect things with Leo's need to feel validated and seen. As a combination in a natal chart it can feel like a person who is serious on the outside and playful and affectionate on the inside — especially for those who matter most. This is what we all have access to over the next couple of days. 🦁

On Monday there is an expect-the-unexpected kind of energy to the day that could also lead to some intuitive thoughts and feelings as well. This is actually perfect timing — we are at the beginning of the Balsamic phase of the Moon cycle. Those intuitive thoughts may be gently nudging you toward a reflection of what you learned during this last Eclipse cycle. 🌙

On Tuesday big feelings are possible as the Moon connects with Jupiter in the afternoon. It is a beautiful opportunity to acknowledge how people make you feel rather than simply offering praise. Who will you connect with? That is entirely up to you. 💛

✨ September 9 | Balsamic Virgo Moon

Tuesday

We are still in the Balsamic phase of the Moon cycle on this transition day. The morning features those Leo Moon vibes we have had the last few days — you may find yourself wanting to have coffee with a great friend or some quiet time to reflect as the morning progresses. ☕️

Once 2:35 pm CT arrives the Moon shifts into Virgo and it can feel like the day has shifted from energetic to even more reflective. The key thing to remember during this part of the Moon cycle is that it is not the time to do anything — that comes after the New Moon happens Thursday evening. For now it is simply time to go within and reflect. Under a double Virgo sky it is important not to be overly critical of yourself or others as it is very easy to hear the "shoulds" in our heads with this type of energy. You may feel the urge to get focused on something, clean things up, or check in with how things are functioning in your daily life — and that is okay in small doses. Just be gentle with yourself. 🌿

Energy levels may pick up after the New Moon on Thursday — along with all the other shifts happening that day. Venus will move into Scorpio, Mercury into Libra, and Uranus stations retrograde all before the New Moon peaks. Lots of expect-the-unexpected energy around us! Rolling with it the best you can is my recommendation — and if things get hard, going outside, breathing in some fresh air, and touching the grass may be exactly what helps. 🌱🌙

✨ September 10 | Venus + Mercury change signs, Uranus stations retrograde AND the Virgo New Moon

Thursday

A lot is happening on this one day — and we will be going into much greater depth at our New Moon Circle tonight at 6 pm ET | 5 pm CT | 4 pm MT | 3 pm PT. Know that the written guide and replay will be posted after the event. If you, or if you have friends who would like to join, they can register by clicking HERE — and as always this is already included in the Between the Moons membership.🌙

Today has a lot happening — and honestly that feels very fitting for the first New Moon after Eclipse Season. The energy is ready to move.

Before the Virgo New Moon peaks this evening, three significant shifts happen. Venus moves into Scorpio — which can give a desire to get to the heart of your relationships and what you truly value. Mercury moves into Libra — opening up a more diplomatic and balanced way of communicating, perfect for any conversations that may have been waiting to be had. And Uranus stations retrograde — bringing an undercurrent of expect-the-unexpected energy that may be felt more in the headlines than personally, unless you have planets close to 5° of the Mutable signs. ⚡️

All of this happens before the Virgo New Moon peaks — making today feel like the sky is clearing the decks and setting the stage all at once.

The Virgo New Moon is asking one simple question: are your routines working for you? This is the integration New Moon — taking everything we observed, felt, and learned through Eclipse Season and finding one small, practical, sacred way to bring it into your daily life. 🌿

If you would like to explore what this New Moon means specifically for your chart — the full guide, the Oracle spread, crystals, mantras, journal prompts, and a deeper look at the astrology are all waiting for you inside tonight's New Moon Circle. We would love to have you there. 🌑

✨ September, 11, 2026| Day long Void of Course Moon

Friday

Our end of the work week can feel somewhat fuzzy headed for some. We have a day long Void of Course Moon from 12:52 am CT to 6:51 pm CT when she moves into Libra. 🌙

✅ Great for: Meditating, Finishing up existing projects, Taking walks, Resting or napping, Creating a to-do list

🚫 Maybe skip: Starting something brand new, Making major decisions, Being hard on yourself 🤪

Doing your best to navigate the day with as much flow as possible is always the move during these windows. It may feel like the Universe is giving you time to really sit with what this new Moon cycle may be bringing up for you — a natural opportunity to reflect before the weekend begins. Wanting to hang and have some one on one time at the end of the day may feel just right. 🌿

🌙 Closing Thoughts

We close out one cycle and step into another this week. The Eclipse Portal is behind us, the Balsamic phase has given us time to reflect, and the Virgo New Moon opens a fresh chapter — one that is asking us to take everything we have been through and make it practical, meaningful, and real in our everyday lives. That is the gift of Virgo. Not the grand gesture. The quiet, intentional, daily one. 🌿

The New Moon Circle is tonight for those joining us — and the guide will be in your inbox after. Whether you are with us live or catching the replay, I am so glad you are here for this one.

Until next week — the new cycle has begun. Tend to it gently. 🌑🌙

With love and stardust,

Sarah
