This Cancer New Moon is a sensitive one.
With Jupiter, the planet of expansion, right next to this New Moon, there’s an extra “oomph” to whatever you’re looking to bring into your life—whether that’s for your home (both physical and emotional) or your family.
Since Cancer governs the family of origin, you may notice some old wounds resurfacing to be healed by this moon’s light during the cycle—some inner child healing, if you will. If you find yourself overwhelmed, tearing up, or reminiscing, please know that it’s normal and okay.
To me, this New Moon is all about checking in with the foundation you’ve been working towards. Whether it’s something for your home, something that makes you feel safe, or supporting your family in some way, this is a time to assess how steady things are and what you need to create that sense of security, whatever that looks like for you. You might find inspiration in the sound of waves on a Spotify playlist or even a soothing bath for sore muscles. Your dreams may also offer some insights. If they don’t make sense at the moment, remember, it’s always good to jot them down—they may become clearer later!

You may find yourself having inspired thoughts that seem to come out of nowhere on Thursday under this Cancer Moon. These flashes of inspiration could lead to action on whatever you are hoping to manifest during this cycle.
In the afternoon, Mercury moves into Leo, shifting the energy from reflective, feeling-based thoughts and communication to fiery, confident ones. Mercury is the planet of thought and communication, and Leo brings a heart-centered, bold energy that can sometimes be dramatic or shy, depending on the situation. When these two energies blend, you might experience a heightened sense of inspiration. These thoughts could also focus on how you want your relationships or finances to flow moving forward, offering creative workarounds if needed!

As we close out the week, the Moon shifts into the fiery sign of Leo to join Mercury on his journey there. Doing something fun—perhaps watching a favorite movie—might be the perfect way to round out your week.
