I don’t know about you, but it felt like there was a lot of changeable energy last week. I noticed it through the goosebumps on my arms—and saw it show up in conversations, interactions, and even on social media. How about you?
That shifting energy continues this week as both Saturn and Mercury begin their retrograde cycles in fire signs. You may feel like the world is starting to slow down a bit. Saturn is the great teacher, and Mercury represents our mind and communication. With both beginning their retrogrades in the same week, you might find yourself thinking through ideas or intentions you considered back at the end of May. Time will tell!
Last week, I shared a simple 3-Step Retrograde Activation Mini Workbook in my article Let’s Talk Retrogrades: What They Are and How to Flow With Them. It’s designed to help you track those “oh, that’s interesting…” moments that tend to pop up during retrogrades—like a way to see the forest through the trees when you’re in the thick of it.
If you’ve used it and found it helpful, I’d love to hear! I always enjoy receiving your happy updates after our consults and time working together.

✨ July 14 and 15, 2025
Our work week begins under the sensitive Pisces Moon, high in the sky. With both the Sun and Moon in water signs, emotions and intuition may feel extra heightened. It could be a wonderfully creative couple of days—if you allow your intuition to guide the way.
In a previous post, I shared how I like to view the water signs as parts of a lake:
– Cancer (where the Sun is now) is like the mom on the beach, reminding the kids not to go too far.
– Scorpio is the child beneath the water, waiting for just the right moment to leap up.
– Pisces (where the moon is) is the one sitting peacefully at the bottom, watching the world go by.
With this Cancer–Pisces combination, some folks may find themselves wanting to check out emotionally or energetically—and under a Pisces Moon, that’s completely understandable. If that’s you, I always suggest finding healthy ways to do so. Maybe that looks like setting a timer for a nap (or two), limiting your scroll time, or being mindful with a favorite show. If addiction is part of your history, this is a good time to gently notice what might be triggering those urges so you can care for yourself accordingly.
To help manage any floaty or overwhelmed feelings, making a to-do list may really help—especially since we’ll be in a Void of Course Moon from 12:09 pm CT to 11:32 pm CT on Tuesday. Pisces naturally invites us to drift, and this long VOC window can amplify that feeling.
✨ July 16 and 17 - Mercury Retrograde
On Tuesday at 11:32 pm CT, the Moon moved into Aries, and we will start to build to the Last Quarter Moon on Thursday at 7:37 pm CT at 25° of Aries. Under an Aries Moon in Cancer season, you can find a frustration between wanting to forge forward into the unknown and change vs. keeping things stable and emotionally safe.
Going back to the lake analogy, it would be like the child who charges in when the lifeguard blows the whistle—wanting to be first to the area of the lake and being the leader in whatever game they are playing out there.
It can feel like a very up-and-down kind of few days as there will be a lot of different energies talking with the Moon:
Be ready to expect the unexpected that could lead to interesting feelings or insights(Uranus sextile Aries Moon)
Emotionally checking in with any structural changes/boundary settings and even your dream world(Aries Moon conjunct Saturn and Neptune Retrograde)
Transformational feelings to move through and out with the Last Quarter Moon(Aries Moon sextile Pluto)
Big feels about how things could work at home or taking care of others vs. what you want and need for yourself(Aries Moon square Jupiter)
Insights on your relationships and maybe even your finances too may come to you through talking with another person or even in a communication of some sort(Aries Moon sextile Venus)
Heart and mind connection could feel very strong(Aries Moon trine Mercury) as Mercury will start his retrograde on Thursday
All leading up to the Last Quarter Moon(Aries Moon square Sun)
Directly after the Last Quarter Moon peaks, she will enter a 7-hour, 20-minute Void of Course period from 7:37 pm CT – 2:58 am CT, so your dreams may feel very insightful.
If things get hard, moving your body in some way may help—if nothing else, to get the energy out. Being mindful of your energy is also a good idea too, as the light in the sky gets less and less.
On Thursday, about four hours after the Last Quarter Moon, Mercury will enter his retrograde at 15° of Leo until August 11, when he will reach 4° of Leo.
Leo is the sign of joy, creativity, children, and doing things for fun. It is how you want to shine yourself in this world. When Mercury is retrograding, it invites us to revisit, revise, rethink (all the "re" words) around how we communicate and think—similar to how Saturn wants us to do that about the structures in place in our lives.
Good things to do during Mercury Retrograde are:
– Give yourself extra time if traveling
– Read things through more than once before sending or signing anything
– Reexamine outdated ways of thinking to bring in new creative energy
Interesting thought to think about: Mars Retrograde happened at 6° of Leo through 17° of Cancer earlier this year. It makes me wonder if the planet that represents how we communicate and think (Mercury) may be related to your drive and determination discoveries (Mars) you made earlier in the year. Don’t feel like you need to force it to make it work—just would be interesting if they do overlap.
In Between the Moons, I'll share what themes may be coming up during this retrograde as well.
✨ July 18, 2025
As we end our week, the slow and steady energy of the Taurus Moon will be with us. After all the movable energy from the past two days, it may feel really good to slow down and take a breath.
Taurus energy is all about slow and steady—or go slow to move fast. If you are a parent, giving a countdown of when you want to leave or have things done by may help. It is a sign that likes what it likes.
You may find yourself wanting to finish things up and work hard to do so—so that you can rest hard after. Doing something today that ignites all five senses may also feel good!
I’ll be back on Saturday to share what’s in store for next week!

Got a question?
I can help!
Many people use Oracle Cards or Tarot to help answer questions or offer guidance in their lives. I’ve found that the same kind of support can come through an ancient form of divination called the Celtic Ogham.
This method uses wooden pieces with symbols burned onto them, placed within a circular grid. The grid includes crystals representing the four elements: Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. From there, I can see what energy is moving in and out of the circle—with you at the center.
I love how this form of divination honors a person’s thoughts (Air), drive (Fire), intuition (Water), and practical side (Earth) as they relate to the question at hand. Each month, I use this form of divination in my membership, Between the Moons, to help share the energy of the month ahead.
I am now offering this as something you can use to have one question answered for you. This offering can be done using the Celtic Ogham or with Oracle cards.
After you submit your question (query) for guidance I will use the method you chose to answer these 5 questions:
Where am I currently with this query?
What am I moving towards with this query?
What is needing to be released for the best outcome for my highest good with this query?
Possible outcome for this query?
Course correct if needed for this query?
After I have completed the draw I will send a picture of it and the answers via email.
This offering will be on sale for $40 (saving $10) through July 17, 2025 or when 10 people claim either offering through Oracle Cards or Ogham. Which one will you use?
