Good morning friends,
August 2026 feels like a turning point—not only for me and my family, but for the collective as well. By the time you’re reading this, we’ll have traveled from Minnesota to Alabama to help our youngest move into his first apartment as he starts his doctorate program there. That’s a huge turning point not only for him, but for us as parents too. I’m so excited for what this will bring him... just wish it were closer!
I digress!
This month brings Leo season, all the personal planets changing signs, and both a solar and a lunar eclipse, with the Sun moving into Virgo between the two. I color-code my calendars: green for Earth signs, orange for Air signs, red for Fire signs, and blue for Water signs. You’ll notice there’s not much water on the calendar this month at all. That doesn’t mean you won’t have intuitive hits or feel emotional—it just may mean you’ll need to source it from within.

On to the astrology of August!
So many Void Of Course Moons!
Before I dive into the astrology, a quick note: similar to July, there will be 13 days out of 31 this month with Void of Course Moons. This is the period when the Moon rests before switching signs. So if you feel the need to rest — do that. If you feel the need to finish up things — yes, do that too!
On most Thursdays from 4–5 pm CT (5–6 pm ET), I’ll be going live on TikTok throughout the month to teach, answer general questions, talk books, and even pull oracle cards. Topics we may cover (they may change as the month goes on):
August 6: No live
August 13: Eclipses and how to work with them (or not)
August 20: Virgo Season and the Moon Cycle
August 27: Lunar Eclipses — since you know there will be one that day!
