Good morning, friends! 🌙
We did it — we made it through the Lunar Eclipse! 🌊🌑
On social media you will hear some astrologers say the portal closed with the Lunar Eclipse and in other spaces you will hear it stays open until the next New Moon on September 10th. If you feel like things are still happening — and they could be — my recommendation is to continue being the observer. That is always a safe place to be. 🌙
Being the observer is helpful not only as we close out Eclipse Season but also because on August 31st we will enter the pre-shadow of the Venus Retrograde that officially begins on October 3rd. This means you may start to notice themes around your relationships, finances, partnerships, or values being highlighted. If that is the case, noting them down in the Free 3 Step Retrograde Activation guide is a great way to track what this cycle is showing you. You can find it attached to my article Let's Talk Retrogrades. 🌟
On September 1st I will be sharing the calendar of the month including upcoming events — so keep an eye out for that! As a heads up I will be at the United Astrology Conference September 3–10. If you would like to book a consult before I leave I have openings on Monday and Tuesday — and then again starting September 14th. You can check availability and all other ways to connect through the Link to All Things. 🌙
Now for the Cosmic weather of the week!

✨ August 30-31, 2026 | Aries Moon + Venus Preshadow begins
Sunday and Monday could feel like everyone wants to be in control under this Aries Moon. If that is the case and you are a parent, giving choices so they feel like they have some say may help. I always give the nap example from when my kids were little — do you want to take a nap on the couch or in your room? The nap or downtime still happens, they just get a choice in where. It is a win win for both. 😄
Sunday the Moon interacts with all of the outer planets and Mars — and it could feel like an expect-the-unexpected kind of day with lots of ups and downs emotionally. If things get hard, moving your body in some way may help. 🔥
On Monday three bigger things happen.
First — Venus Pre-Shadow begins at 22° Libra, which means Venus Retrograde is getting closer. Her retrograde period is 40 days long — so the pre and post shadows will be that long too. Venus in our charts represents our values, finances, and relationships — romantic, friendship, and business. Over the next 120 days — if you include the pre-shadow, retrograde, and post-shadow together — it is our opportunity to look honestly at all of those areas. In the pre-shadow you may start to see themes pop up that will be more fully addressed during the retrograde itself. I have a 3 Step Retrograde Activation Guide that I share during Mercury Retrograde that works beautifully for this one too. You can learn more about retrogrades and grab it at the bottom of my Let’s Talk Retrogrades article. 🌟
Second — a 12 hour, 14 minute Void of Course window begins at 2:47 pm CT and carries us through to 3:01 am CT Tuesday morning. So the end of Monday may feel a little like how Saturday felt — just not as long. If you have a lot going on Monday evening, making a to-do list before the window starts may help. 🌙
✅ Great for: Meditating, Finishing up existing projects, Taking walks, Resting or napping, Creating a to-do list
🚫 Maybe skip: Starting something brand new, Making major decisions, Being hard on yourself 🤪
Third — Jupiter makes a beautiful angle to Saturn — giving the end of the day a beautiful blend of wanting to use creativity in a big way through Jupiter and self reflection and thoughtfulness through Saturn Retrograde. It could be a great time to evaluate your goals and make sure they are aligned with how you want to move something forward — especially if it is a creative project. 🌟
✨ September 1-2, 2026 | Taurus Moon
As we sleep the Moon moves into Taurus — and it could have you wanting to spend a little more time enjoying your bed or even your morning coffee. ☕️
This is a double Earth sky for the next couple of days with the Moon in Taurus and the Sun in Virgo. It is a hard working combination — and with Taurus the added invitation to savor hard too. If things feel too rushed it can make people feel grumpy, so giving things a little more time may help. Likewise going outside for a walk or even eating a piece of chocolate could feel really good. 🍫🌿
Tuesday has a square between Mars and Saturn that could have people feeling a little snappish. Mars is all about action — and in Cancer, safety, home, and children can be a focus. With this square it can feel like a frustration between emotional sensitivity through Mars and the desire to just do things one way through Saturn. If that is the case, taking a pause may be helpful — along with checking in on your boundaries to see if there is any real overstepping happening. A sextile from Mercury to Mars could also give some practical insights on how to work around any frustrations during this time. 🌿
Wednesday your dreams may be very active as the Moon connects with expansive Jupiter, determined Mars, and your thoughts through Mercury. As we wake up we will be in the middle of another long Void of Course window — starting at 5:46 am CT and running through 6:47 am CT Thursday. With this being mid-week, giving yourself a little extra time and going with the flow may be especially helpful. I know I will need it — I will be traveling to the United Astrology Conference that day! Having your lists ready and listening to your intuition may all help too. Dreams going into Thursday may be particularly active as well — just a heads up! 🌙

✨ September 3 - 4, 2026 | Gemini Moon
At 6:47 am CT the Moon moves into Gemini — and it can feel like your thoughts are racing for the next few days. 🌬️
Our Virgo Sun and Gemini Moon are both ruled by Mercury — and we are building toward the Last Quarter Moon on Friday at 2:51 am CT. Mercury in our charts represents our mind, communication, and thoughts. These two signs just go about it very differently though.
The frustration or activation you may feel with the Last Quarter Moon is that pull between wanting to jump from topic to topic versus trying to finish what you start and keep things practical. With this being the Last Quarter Moon it could be a final push to let go of something that just does not seem to work for you and your vision for the future. This may have been spotlit for you at the Pisces Lunar Eclipse as well — so keeping that observer hat on is always helpful. 🌙
There is a lot of expect-the-unexpected energy over these two days. Staying curious can be helpful should things get hard. The Moon shifts into Cancer Saturday morning — which will be a completely different feel as we head into next week's Cosmic Weather. More on that next week! 🌊
✨ Final Thoughts
The portal is closing — and what a journey it has been. Two Eclipses, long Void of Course windows inviting us to rest, Venus pre-shadow beginning, and the United Astrology Conference calling my name this week. The sky has been asking us to observe, trust, and go with the flow — and that invitation continues as we move into September.
A few things to keep on your radar as we head into the week ahead — I will be at the United Astrology Conference September 3–10 so my availability for consults is limited. If you have been thinking about booking something, Monday and Tuesday still have openings before I leave and then again from September 14th onward. All the details are in the Link to All Things. 🌟
The Celtic Seer sessions this weekend with myself and Rhonda McCrimmon are a beautiful way to close out this Eclipse portal with some grounded, lighthearted guidance. I would love to see you there if you feel called. 🌙
Until next week — the portal is closing, the observer seat is still the best one in the house, and September has so much good energy waiting for us. 🌊✨
I will see you there. 🌙
With love and stardust,
Sarah
