I hope this note finds you well! The New Moon on Friday felt full of possibility — so many opportunities to access fresh energy and start something new. It was a joy to share it all in the New Moon Circle! If you missed it, you are always welcome to grab the guide through my "Link to All Things" or subscribe to my Substack for $13 a month to have it delivered straight to your inbox.
I always choose a picture that helps give a feel for what the week ahead may hold. To me this week is all about new beginnings, experiencing nature, and holding hands. Taurus season opens on Sunday, Mars and Saturn meet up the same day, Mercury joins them on Monday, and then Venus and Uranus hold hands before she slips into Gemini. There is a lot of energy in motion — and it may feel like a lot to hold.
As a general rule of thumb, when things get hard I always suggest working with the element the Moon is in at that moment. It does not always make things easier, but it can make things feel more manageable.
On to the week, shall we? 🌙

✨ Sunday April 19, 2026
Sunday may feel like a see-saw of energy — and for good reason. There are three significant shifts happening, each one building on the last.
First, the Moon moves into Gemini at 11:17 am, where she will stay until noon on Tuesday. Under a Gemini Moon, staying curious is the way to be. There is a real joy in discovering new things. If you head out into nature you may even notice the birds are extra chatty! If things get hard, staying curious and asking “why is that?” can be your guide.
Then we have one of the big meet-ups of 2026 — Mars and Saturn coming together to hold hands. When we interact with their energy, there tend to be lessons involved and things can feel impulsive. This does not mean the day will be bad. It may feel intense, though. I think there is real wisdom in what my oldest said about it: “You can choose to be scared, or you can choose to be positive and see what motivates you to move forward with something.” This positive mindset was always something I encouraged with my kids — and it is pretty wonderful to have a 24-year-old sharing that wisdom back with me now. 💛
Last, but certainly not least, the Sun moves into Taurus at 8:39 pm CT. Taurus is the second sign of the Zodiac and the first of the three Earth signs. Earth signs ground us — and for some, they can make a person either wonderfully dependable or a little stuck in the mud!
A quick reminder: Our Sun represents our Chi and Life Force, our Moon our emotions and inner world, and our Rising our Soul and what we are aspiring to become.
🌞 Taurus Sun friends love the simple things in life and feel deeply connected to Mother Earth. They may seem to move slower than most — but that does not mean they are slow. They will be your most loyal friend above all.
🌙 Taurus Moon friends tend to be empathic and thoughtful problem solvers. Their careful thinking allows them to see things in a light others may miss. Just remember to let others share their opinions too — it is that good nature that draws people to you.
🌅 Taurus Rising friends tend to be charming with a calm, steady presence. Once they have made up their mind, it is hard — if not impossible — to change it. They love routine and may reach for the same breakfast, the same colors, the same familiar comforts time and again.
There is a lot being handed to us on a Sunday! The good news is we get to sit with this energy for a few days and let it unfold as the week moves forward. Remember — when things get hard, curiosity is your superpower.
✨ April 20 , 2026
Before we dive into the energy of the day, it is important to note that we are entering an almost 36-hour Void of Course window from 12:17 am CT through noon on Tuesday. This can make the start of the work week feel a little floaty and scattered. If you can avoid starting new projects today and wait until after lunch on Tuesday, things may feel more grounded.
✅ Great for:
Meditating
Finishing up existing projects
Taking walks
Resting or napping
Creating a to-do list
🚫 Maybe skip:
Starting something brand new
Making major decisions
Being hard on yourself 🤪
But wait — there is more! 😂
Today Mercury meets up with Saturn and Mars to form a trio. The way I see it: Mars wants to steer the car, Saturn is reading the map, and Mercury is just here for the adventure.
This conjunction — when two or more planets meet at the same degree — has not been seen in our lifetime in the sign of Aries. It can feel explosive and impulsive, while also sparking a deep curiosity to understand more. I encourage you to record any ideas, aha moments, and insights as they come, even if they do not make sense yet.
This is the beginning of something very new and fresh — and it starts a two-year cycle for Saturn and Mars. As much as Mars wants to move fast, I am grateful for the steadiness Saturn brings to help us navigate it all.
It is also helpful that the Moon is still in Gemini, giving us that natural desire to ask "why?" — and bringing a welcome lightness to it all.
✨ April 21 and 22, 2026
We come out of the almost 36-hour Void of Course window at noon CT when the Moon moves into Cancer, setting us up for a potentially tender couple of days.
If tears come, know that is completely normal. If you find yourself feeling sentimental or craving comfort foods from your childhood — also completely normal, especially with the Taurus Sun in the sky always calling us toward the good stuff!
Over the next couple of days the Moon will square all that is happening in Aries, which can bring some friction around your communications, motivations, and how you want to move forward — even your dreams. Emotions may feel especially big on Wednesday when the Moon meets up with Jupiter too.
That said, this can also be a beautifully creative and heart-centered couple of days. If things get hard, drink your water and give yourself a little extra care.
✨April 23 and 24, 2026
Thursday opens with the Cancer Moon energy from the last few days, then shifts into Leo at 2:40 pm — setting up for the First Quarter Moon later that evening.
This combination of the Leo Moon and Taurus Sun gives us all the ability to take our creative endeavors (Leo Moon) and turn them into something real through persistent effort (Taurus Sun). Both signs carry a magnetic charisma that naturally draws people in — especially helpful if you need others to come alongside you and bring your projects to life.
The potential friction here is that both signs can also be quite stubborn. You may notice a tension between the desire for validation and the need for self-acceptance. Both signs have self-worth things to work through. It is why I always suggest acknowledging rather than praising when working with a strong Leo person or under a Leo Moon — being seen for who you are just hits differently than feeling like you have to perform to be noticed.
Thursday also carries an expect-the-unexpected energy, especially around finances and relationships. Venus and Uranus hold hands at the last degree of Taurus less than an hour before the First Quarter Moon — so both of these energies will be building all day. When Venus moves into Gemini at 11:03 pm CT, communication and meaningful conversation become even more important through May 18.
Friday may feel like an integration day. For most of the day there are easy, flowing interactions from the Moon to our minds, our communications, and our motivation. The Moon slips into an almost 27-hour Void of Course at 5:20 pm CT — giving the week a bit of a fuzzy ending, much like the floaty way it began. There is also some expect-the-unexpected energy heading into the weekend as Uranus joins Venus in Gemini. More on that next week!
🌙 Closing Thoughts
What a week to be alive and paying attention. We moved from the quiet, grounded energy of a Taurus Moon into a week that asked us to be curious, courageous, and open to the unexpected — all at once. The Mars, Saturn, and Mercury conjunction in Aries planted a seed of bold new intention, while Venus and Uranus reminded us that growth sometimes comes through surprise. Through it all, the Moon walked us through every element — earth, air, water, and fire — giving us each a chance to feel supported in our own way.
As you head into the weekend, carry the wisdom of the week with you. You showed up. You stayed curious. You kept going. That is the whole point. 🌙
Until next week,
