October 11-17| Venus Making Moves!

Last Quarter Moon will be upon us to start the week!

Good morning!

As I shared in my Saturday Email

This is such a special week, and I’m so excited to share it with you! 🌞 On Monday, I turn 50—and to celebrate, we’re heading to New York City!

Some of the things we have planned are:✨ Catching Leslie Odom Jr. as he reprises his role in Hamilton✨ Taking a day trip to the Hudson River Valley and Sleepy Hollow

If you have any other recommendations, I’d love to hear them!

With this Solar Return, I’ll be welcoming a new Time Lord for the year ahead. Last year, Mercury had a lot to say about how things unfolded—and this year, the focus shifts to the Moon. 🌙 I talk more about what that means (and what a Solar Return Consultation is) in the article linked at the bottom of this email.

I’ve found working with Solar Return charts so helpful for navigating the year ahead—they offer clarity, timing, and inspiration for what’s possible. As I look forward to this 50th trip around the Sun, a few things I’m especially excited about include:

🌟 Watching our son graduate from college🌟 Publishing my first book🌟 Traveling to Chicago for an astrology conference🌟 And maybe even a trip abroad!

Planning for the future helps keep my heart hopeful during times that don’t always feel light—it’s like leaving myself breadcrumbs of joy to follow.

Thank you for being part of my journey as we navigate the cosmic weather together. I truly appreciate you being here.

Now—on with the week ahead! 🌠

Last Quarter Moon could have a sensitive start to the week.

While we sleep on Sunday, the Moon moves into Cancer, setting the stage for the Last Quarter Moon on Monday at 20° of Cancer (1:12 pm CT).

A Cancer Moon can stir nostalgia for childhood memories, favorite foods, or time with your own children. It’s perfectly normal to feel more emotional under this sensitive water moon—be gentle with yourself.

Cancer’s symbol, the Crab, is hard on the outside but soft on the inside. That’s a beautiful metaphor for the Last Quarter Moon, too. The Cancer Moon seeks emotional security (the soft inside), while the Libra Sun longs for outer harmony (the protective shell). Both dislike conflict, though they handle it differently—Libra may avoid it, while Cancer tends to withdraw. If that feels true for you, notice what’s being triggered and whether there’s something you can do to bring peace to it.

The Cancer Full Moon occurred back on June 25, and if similar themes resurface now, you may be seeing the next layer ready to release.

🌗 Last Quarter Moon Mantra

“I release what no longer protects my peace and open my heart to what nourishes my soul.”

After the Last Quarter Moon peaks, Venus moves into one of her home signs, Libra. As a collective, we can tap into the charm, grace, and balance this brings. Wherever Libra lives in your chart is the area of life you’ll likely notice this energy most. In my Between the Moons membership I'll share more about what that could look like.

Shortly after her ingress, Venus opposes Neptune—a very different energy from her weekend opposition to Saturn. This Venus–Neptune opposition is the first of its kind in Libra and Aries, highlighting the tension between idealism (Neptune) and realism (Venus). The key is to find the sweet spot between dreaming with rose-colored glasses and staying grounded in your truth. If you’re feeling foggy, try to avoid big decisions until clarity returns.

Finally, Pluto stations direct on Monday at 9:52 pm CT at 1° of Aquarius. Pluto’s influence is often seen on a collective level—making big things small and small things big—though it can be personal if it connects to your own chart. As Pluto moves forward again, I can’t help but wonder what systems designed for the people (Aquarius) might begin to transform.

Since his retrograde began in May, you may have been reflecting on fears or patterns that needed to shift. Now, as Pluto moves forward, it’s time to integrate what you’ve learned and move ahead with renewed purpose. This can feel like a crossroads moment, but it’s also an invitation to step more fully into hope and authentic self-expression.

October 14 and 15, 2025

Leo Moon in Libra season is super creative

As we sleep, the Moon moves into Leo, bringing a creative and expressive energy to start the week. A Leo Moon in Libra season can be super collaborative and inspiring! If things get tricky, finding the humor, joy, or lightness in the moment may help.

Pro tip: Use your Move Your 🔥 Guide to move your body based on where Leo falls in your chart. (If you don’t have the guide yet, you can grab it HERE.

With Venus now in Libra, she’ll connect beautifully with the Moon, Uranus, and Pluto—bringing some “expect the unexpected” energy around relationships and finances. With Pluto so strong in the sky, if you’ve reached a point where a relationship or situation feels complete, it wouldn’t surprise me if it naturally comes to resolution over these two days. The good news: all of Venus’s connections here are soft, flowing aspects, so transitions may feel peaceful and aligned rather than abrupt.

By Wednesday, you might feel the urge to re-evaluate what truly excites your heart and mind—to make sure your actions align with your passions now. If things feel sensitive or heavy, come back to joy. Do something that lifts your spirit and reminds you of what lights your fire.

Tip: If you have a busy Thursday morning, make a to-do list before bed. The Moon will be Void of Course for nearly 13 hours (12:06 am–1:06 pm CT), and having a plan will help you stay grounded and on track.

October 16 and 17, 2025

We end with a Gemini moon that may get us feeling chatty and wanting to be out and about.

Thursday begins under that long Void of Course Moon, which might make it a little harder to get moving—so be gentle with yourself!

Here’s a quick reminder of what’s helpful (and what’s not) under these long void periods:

Great for:

– Meditating

– Finishing up existing projects

– Taking walks

– Resting or napping

– Creating a to-do list

🚫 Maybe skip:

– Starting something brand new

– Making major decisions

– Being hard on yourself 🤪

Once the Moon moves into Virgo, that to-do list from Wednesday may feel extra satisfying to tackle. Virgo energy loves to tidy up and bring beauty and order to our spaces. There’s also a bit of “expect the unexpected” energy on Thursday, so staying flexible will serve you well.

By Friday, the Libra Sun squares Jupiter, creating tension between the desire for harmony in relationships and the need for emotional security within yourself and your home life. This energy builds throughout Thursday and peaks overnight—so pay attention to your dreams; they may offer insight. Later Friday, the Sun opposes Chiron, bringing opportunities to heal whatever was stirred by Jupiter’s influence.

If emotions run high, step outside, put your feet on the earth, and reconnect with your body. It’s one of the easiest ways to bring yourself back into balance.

💫 Closing Thoughts

As we move through this Last Quarter Moon and into a new lunar cycle, it feels especially meaningful for me personally—I’m celebrating my Solar Return this week, my 50th trip around the Sun! ☀️

A Solar Return marks the moment the Sun returns to the exact degree it was when you were born—your personal new year. It’s one of my favorite tools in astrology because it offers a glimpse into the themes and timing of the year ahead.

If you’ve ever wondered how a Solar Return reading differs from a Birth Chart Consultation—or how working with your Time Lord can help you navigate your year with more ease and awareness—I share all of that (and more!) in this week’s featured article: 👉 What is a Solar Return Consultation anyway?

As always, thank you for being part of this journey with me. Whether you’re celebrating your own milestones or simply honoring the rhythms of the Moon, know that we’re walking this cosmic path together. ✨

Until next week,
